Where God's Love is Extended to All

Salvation
At North Paulding Baptist Church, we believe that salvation is the greatest gift ever offered to mankind—freely given by God through His Son, Jesus Christ. Salvation means being saved from the penalty of sin and receiving eternal life with God. It’s not about religion or good works, but about a personal relationship with Jesus.
The Need for Salvation
The Bible teaches that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Because of our sin, we are separated from God and in need of a Savior. The penalty for sin is death (Romans 6:23), but God, in His great love, made a way for us to be forgiven and restored.
God’s Plan of Redemption
John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Jesus Christ lived a perfect life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again on the third day, conquering sin and death.
How to Be Saved
Salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It’s not something we can earn—it’s a gift of grace. The Bible says:
“If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
—Romans 10:9
To receive salvation, a person must:
-
Recognize they are a sinner in need of God’s grace
-
Repent of their sins (turn away from sin and turn toward God)
-
Believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior
-
Confess their faith in Him
Living a New Life
Salvation is just the beginning of a transformed life. When you trust in Christ, you become a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). The Holy Spirit comes to live in you, guiding and strengthening you to live according to God’s Word.
At our church, we believe that every believer should follow Jesus in baptism, grow in their faith through the local church, and share the Good News with others.
